Stella Ornate logo lowrider longboard complete

The Stella Ornate logo lowrider longboard is a great choice for those out there that want a vividly colorful board that rides like a dream for little out of pocket. I know it sounds a little too good to be true, but with Stella longboards being such an underrated company one of their main concerns is keeping their boards affordable and they're more than worth what you're cashing out for them.

Stella Blockhead lowrider longboard

The Stella Blockhead lowrider longboard is a great choice for anyone on a budget that wants a board to get started on the hills. This board is excellent for beginners as there's not a whole lot of extra to get caught up in, just a nice drop down longboard deck that gives you some extra leverage from the top mounting and a nice low ride height for easier pushing and sliding.

Sector 9 mini daisy longboard

The Sector 9 Mini Daisy longboard is as you might have imagined a smaller version of the original Sector 9 Daisy topmount speedboard. It's not as mini as it may come off though sitting at 37.5 inches this board has plenty of room for stability and re positioning on the fly. With 8 plys of cold pressed maple in a 1/2" continuous rocker mold the Mini daisy is amazing for the price.

Sector 9 Rocker longboard

As you might have imagined the Sector 9 Rocker was built for hitting the hills with a 1/2 inch of continuous rocker, with recessed truck mounts, the lowest ride you can have without drops. It was meant to give all of the leverage of your trucks that you need with the advantages of a drop through or drop down longboard. If you want a board that's truly unique and won't destroy your wallet this is an excellent choice.

Sector 9 Gauntlet downhill freeride board

Of all things Sector 9 has put out their new premium downhill longboard line is absolutely sick, Adding in features for boards that you usually find in the $300+ range for about $100 less is amazing in itself, but the fact that the quality is matched if not better is even more amazing. If you're looking for a supreme downhill freeriding board then the dropped though, symmetrical Sector 9 Gauntlet might just be the right choice for you.

Sector 9 Arrow DHD downhill longboard

The Sector 9 Arrow downhill DHD longboard is perfect choice for beginners that don't want a board that solely shreds hills. This board also comes with a totally functional kicktail that can take to urban terrain as well. This downhill longboards directional design doesn't make it the ultimate for freeriding but it's still very possible, and the amount of things the kicktail will allow you to will make up for that. If you want a great all around board then the Arrow is a superb pick.

Sector 9 Bomber DHD downhill longboard

The Sector 9 Bomber lives up to its name by being one of the most inexpensive and practical downhill boards that you can get your hands on. When it comes to slaying hills nothing can do it better than the bomber. This board provides plenty of concave, along with CNC'd wheel wells and a front foot stop for easier positioning and a great post to keep your foot from sliding off at high speeds. For $200 after our winter save 20 this daring downhill deck could be yours.

Sector 9 Javelin DHD downhill longboard

The Sector 9 Javelin DHD downhill longboard is a great choice for alll of you out there that want a straight up directional downhill longboard that can slay anything in its path, and for little out of wallet. With super deep cut wheel wells and an aggressive concave you can really lay into this board and have virtually no chance of catching. If you crave that wind rushing against you going 40+ mph down the slopes then the Javelin can definitely provide.

Sector 9 Barge Downhill longboard deck

Sector 9's most amazing feat is creating so many boards over so many spectrums. Not only are they truly quality boards, but they're ridiculously cheap. One of my personal favorite downhill longboards is the Sector 9 Barge. It sets itself apart from the competition with a kicktail for easy around town riding and it's snubby nose that could eat up all the curbs you launch it into. A truly pristine board for a great price? What's to argue.

Sector 9 Dojo DHD downhill longboard

The Sector 9 Dojo DHD downhill longboard is a great board for heading out for a day on the slopes. A slight micro drop keeps this board a bit closer to the ground and gives you all the extra leverage you need around every hairpin. For only a mere $160 there's nothing that can beat the quality and affordability of a good old Sector 9 longboard.

Rayne Avenger 2012

While I do believe 2012 was the last year the Rayne Avenger was created it still lives on as one of Rayne's most well known top mount speedboards, but I suppose that really goes for all of them. With Rayne's quality diehard downhill longboarding creations and your own flair, anything is possible and there's no arguing that showing that inner daredevil will be just that much easier with a board such as the Avenger.

Rayne Baby Killer top mount downhill longboard

The Rayne Baby Killer top mount downhill longboard is a perfect choice for smaller riders or riders with a smaller stance that love the Killswitch but it just didn't feel or look 'perfect' and when you're spending money on a board that you're going to be shredding everyday there's no reason you should settle. Rayne longboards feels the same way, and thus the release of the ever hill crushing creation that is the baby killer.

Rayne Killswitch top mount longboard

Those Canadians did it again ey? You guessed it another top mount lean mean speedboarding machine sent from Rayne to slay any slope in its path. If you want the ultimate control around those hairpins and through those winding downhill paths then the Rayne Killswitch longboard is the perfect choice for you. From the very second you set finger on this board you can feel how lightweight, sleek and truly sturdy all downhill boards should be.

Rayne Amazon downhill longboard complete

This microdropped and dropthrough mounted downhill longboard riding machine was designed by Rayne longboards for one of the fastest folk to ever set foot on board, Douglas Dalua. If that's enough to get you buy it, it's made from vertically laminated bamboo that is much better for the environment than its mapley not so related cousin. If the integrity of bamboo has ever startled you which is probably only for people who haven't ever ridden a bamboo board, it also comes with touched up with a sheet of fiberglass on the top and bottom for that little extra oomf.

Loaded Chubby Unicorn

There's no doubt in my mind if I was going to go all out on a board and spend every last cent on it, it would be the Loaded Chubby Unicorn. This all in one freeriding monster is great for throwing out those technical tricks around the streets and slaying the hills when you have the extra time to go out and hit your favorite spots. Don't worry about this guy breaking on you anytime soon either, not only does the full UHMV coating on this bad boy soak of road vibrations with ease but it's a whole new level of integrity that only the masterminds at Loaded longboards could create.

Bustin Limited Edition Mekanik longboard complete

Bustin longboards really have a way with words when it comes to describing their boards so I'll sum it up for all of you. The Bustin Limited Edition Mekanik is an amazing next generation downhill top mount speedboard that can really take to the hills. If you've felt like you've had problems hitting the slopes in the past then an upgrade like the Mekanik is exactly what you need to bring your descent down the hill to the next level.

Arbor Prodigy longboard complete

Arbor longboards has implemented yet another great board for delving into the downhill longboarding world. This little gem is sporting a nice mellow W concave that's easy on the feet and  has a nice 5/8ths rocker for a little lower ride height that's perfect for those big downhill sessions. If speed, comfort, and a whole ton of leverage sound appealing you can't beat the deal that is the Arbor Prodigy.

Arbor Cypher longboard complete

The Arbor Cypher longboard complete is a great choice for people getting into downhill longboarding that are transitioning from regular cruising and carving since the concave is a little more mellow. Don't me wrong, the Cypher grips great and with the 1/2 inch of rocker it's pretty darn easy easy to really dig your feet into this guy. If you're transitioning from traditional boarding and heading into the downhill world this a great board to start your new journey with.

Arbor Highground downhill longboard

The Arbor Highground downhill longboard is another great budget speedboard from Arbor, that provides great leverage and control from the standard top mount but also has 3d wheel wells that not only give you great leverage and a perfect stopping point, but also serve their original function for wheel clearance. If $180 were my absolute max I would spend on a board it would be this one, Arbor has always and still continues to produce beautiful and reliable boards.

Arbor Vugenhausen longboard complete

The Arbor Vugenhausen longboard complete is a great board for downhill longboard riding and at a surprisingly affordable price. This board not only comes with rocker, a micro drop, and gas pedals on a top mount board for only $160 but is also aesthetically pleasing as almost all Arbor longboards are. If you're serious about downhill boarding but are on a budget this board can definitely compete with the best of them.

Landyachtz R5 downhill speedboard

The Landyachtz R5 downhill speedboard is the perfect longboard for racing since it was designed to have 0 degree wedge in the back meaning it only steers from the front just like a car! While it may seem gimmicky there's nothing with more stability then the R5. If you want to rail every corner like a pro and speed past your competition like its nothing, then the R5 is without a doubt the best.

Landyachtz Grom Race longboard

The Landyachtz Grom Race longboard is the perfect choice for all of you smaller riders out there trying to slay the downhill longboarding game. The Grom race is specially designed for thing and one thing and one thing only, and that's racing. If you're a bit younger or just got the short end of the stick in the height spectrum then this is the perfect downhill longboard for you.

Landyachtz Wolf Shark longboard

The Landyachtz Wolf Shark is a top mount speed board that has more options than really even I would know what to do with. This board is great because of its wide range of variable mountings, gas pedals, 3d wheel wells that add clearance and some extra leverage, and to top everything off it's a top mount. If you're looking for a speed board that's easy to control and has plenty of extra options to keep you from getting bored of it the Wolf shark is a prime choice,

Landyachtz Evo longboard complete

If anything has ever screamed "I slay hills and nothing but" it would without a doubt be the Landyachtz Evo longboard. This is the epitome of a downhill board, specially designed for the hills and nothing but. I've seen plenty out there using this board for cruising, but with a board that has won as many medals on the slopes as the Evo it's just plain wrong. If you want a tried and true donwhill board, look no further you've found the one.

Landyachtz 9 two 5 longboard complete

The board that has risen the most controversy of any board I've ever known has definitely got to be the Landyachtz 9 two 5. It broke a lot of barriers in the freeride world by adding gas pedals for extra leverage along with the drop through mounting for easy, steezy slides. This was the board that really propelled freeride longboarding into the mainstream and it still stands through time as one of the greatest freeride boards you can get your hands on to date.

Landyachtz Top speed 34 longboard

The Landyachtz Top speed longboard is really all it's name implies. It's a super short, nimble, and extremely fun downhill speed board. The standard top mounted design is really what all of the speedy daredevils that win competitions usually ride due to it's amazing control and predictability. While it may not be as easy to push or slide, trading control over ease of riding is not where its at if you really want to hone your skills on the slopes.

Landyachtz Drop speed longboard

The Landyachtz drop speed longboard complete is a great downhill longboard and freeriding longboard. It offers a low center of gravity thanks to the drop through mounting and a truly foot locking "w" concave. This is a great beginners board and it's not hard to vouch for the quality that Landyachtz provides. If I were given the choice when I first started shredding the hills I definitely would have picked this over anything else.

Landyachtz Switchblade 38

The Landyachtz Switchblade 38 is the perfect balance of nimbleness and smoothness between it's smaller 36 version and larger 40 inch brother you really can't go wrong with this one if you're undecided. While I personally prefer the 40 inch version of this downhill longboard for its stability a lot people opt for this size because it's universally great for anyone and $250 for a new board can be a lot to spend, if you can't come to conclusion on which you truly want this is your best bet.

Landyachtz Switchblade 38 inch longboard

The Landyachtz Switchblade 36 is a great choice for all of you freeriding enthusiasts out there that need something that get sideways on the hills without worry of slipping off. This boards double drop down design makes it extremely low to the ground making for effortless sliding and even more effortless pushing. Overall a great beginners board and an even better board for showing off your skills.

Blank Maple micro drop longboard

The Blank Maple micro drop longboard is the pinnacle of simple as far as longboards go, but don't take it lightly, no. This board is an absolute monster, in fact I'd think it'd be pretty safe to say that you could easily win a competition with this if it had the right set up. A micro drop for a little easier pushing out of the gate, and a nice little dip to keep you locked in when sliding and finding your tuck. Overall this board is an absolute gem for only $80 (and if you don't like it being blank just grab some stickers, it's half the fun).
